Dr. Walker is a graduate of Duke Medical School. His career in Public Health began at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta. After completion of his internal medicine training at Emory University, he joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Preventive Medicine and Community Health.
He has practiced occupational and preventive medicine in Stanislaus County since 1989. He was appointed as the County Public Health Officer in November of 2000.
Dr. Walker has 5 children and 3 grandchildren. He enjoys golfing and running.
